The Welcombe is a true delight in the Warwickshire countryside, set
in 157 acres of rolling parkland. It combines the beauty of a Jacobean
House with modern facilities making it an all round perfect venue.
The
clubhouse has a bar offering refreshments and a brasserie serving up
some wonderful food and provides some great views out over the course. A
pro shop with a wide range of equipment can also be found on site and a
number of different tuition packages are available.
This par 70,
18 hole championship golf course measures 6,288 yards in length and
with its lakes and rolling countryside it is a challenging course for
the expert and exhilarating for the novice.
The redesigned course is
somewhat unusual in that it includes three par 5 and five par 3 holes.
The signature hole is the 16th hole, a Par 5 which measures over 500
yards up hill. The hole consists of a narrow tee shot with water on the
left; the hole is well bunkered and even the longer hitters will
struggle to make par here.
